Town of Acton, MA The Town of Acton is seeking full-time applicants for the position of the Assistant Tax Collector/Treasurer within the Finance Department. This position reports directly to the Town Treasurer/Collector. General Duties and Responsibilities:

This is a professional and supervisory role within the Finance Department. The successful candidate will work as part of the Finance Team to achieve the department's goals. Responsibilities include frequent contact with the public via telephone, in person, and in writing, discussing semi-complex and routine information. Tasks involve entering and overseeing the processing of all accounts committed to the Collector, handling receipts such as fire alarm, reserved parking, and lease payments. The role also includes planning and coordinating the mailing of excise tax bills, processing municipal Lien certificates (MLCs), maintaining tax title accounts, and parking enforcement at the commuter rail lot. Minimum Entrance Requirements:

Three (3) years of related finance experience plus a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Preferred Qualifications:

Certification as a Collector and/or Treasurer. Special Requirements:

Ability to be bonded and to become certified as a Collector and/or Treasurer. Pay Rate:

Starting at $72,000 to $83,000 annually. Benefits:

Hybrid or flexible work schedule after a 6-month probation, up to $425 fitness club reimbursement (if enrolled in Town health insurance), comprehensive health, dental, vision insurance, and an attractive pension system. The Town covers 75% of health insurance costs. To Apply:
