Senior Accountant - Hybrid

Known for their commitment to integrity and collaboration, we are seeking a Senior Accountant to join their growing finance team. Reporting to the Controller, this role will play a key role in strengthening financial operations, supporting program leaders, and contributing to the organization’s long-term sustainability. Role Overview: Lead and execute monthly close activities, including preparing and reviewing journal entries and ensuring timely financial reporting. Manage general ledger reconciliations and maintain accurate accounting records in accordance with GAAP. Support annual audits and compliance reporting requirements. Collaborate with program and development staff on grant and contract tracking, reporting, and budget alignment. Identify and implement process improvements to strengthen internal controls and increase efficiency. Assist with the preparation of financial statements, budgets, and internal reports for leadership and stakeholders. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. 3+ years of accounting experience; nonprofit or fund accounting experience. Strong understanding of GAAP. Advanced Excel skills (e.g., pivot tables, lookups, data analysis). Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, MIP, NetSuite, or similar). Note:
