Hybrid - Senior Property Accountant. This Jobot Job is hosted by Jim Forman. Salary range: $95,000.00/yr - $105,000.00/yr. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Property Accountant to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of property accounting, including CAM reconciliations, commercial real estate accounting, and project accounting. This role offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced, cutting-edge environment with a team of dedicated professionals. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in property accounting. Responsibilities
Oversee all aspects of property accounting, including CAM reconciliations, commercial real estate accounting, and project accounting. Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports. Utilize Yardi software for property management and accounting tasks. Review and approve all property-related invoices and ensure they are coded and posted correctly. Monitor and manage cash flow and prepare cash flow forecasts for properties. Coordinate with internal and external auditors to ensure all financial information is accurate and compliant with accounting standards and regulations. Collaborate with property managers and other stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely reporting. Assist in budget preparation and financial planning processes. Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial reporting and operations. Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A CPA or other relevant certification is preferred. Minimum of 5 years of experience in property accounting, CAM reconciliations, commercial real estate accounting, and project accounting. Proficiency in Yardi or similar property management and accounting software. Strong understanding of financial statements, including income statements. Excellent analytical skills with a strong attention to detail. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders. Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced skills in Excel. Why join us?
