EY Private Tax serves privately held companies, ranging from family-owned businesses to private equity owned firms, including high-growth private companies. The role offers opportunities to engage in technically demanding tax planning and compliance projects and to progress toward a managerial level with strong training and mentorship. Your Key Responsibilities

Support managers through Partners in providing tax services, balancing time between compliance and planning, and interacting directly with clients. Prepare or review federal and state tax returns for U.S. partnerships, including foreign reporting requirements for cross-border tax compliance (foreign partnerships, foreign corporations, foreign disregarded entities, and foreign affiliate reporting). Conduct tax research, draft tax memoranda, and assist in quantitative modeling for private client tax advisory services. Identify and communicate significant tax matters to Managers and Senior Managers. Engage in liaison and relationship development with other service lines and subject matter professionals. Build long-term client relationships, understand client needs, and provide tailored service. Explain complex tax issues to non-tax professionals and clients. Maintain professional reputation by updating and sharing technical knowledge and best practices. Review the work of junior staff and identify risks and opportunities to improve services and processes. Skills and Qualifications

To qualify for the role, you must have: Bachelor’s degree in a related field, with tax, business or financial planning experience. Active progress toward or possession of CPA certification or membership in The Bar. Excellent collaboration and negotiation skills; ability to engage with colleagues and stakeholders from diverse backgrounds. Minimum of 2 years of work experience in professional services or professional tax organization. Willingness to work in a balanced hybrid environment and travel as needed. Ideally, you will have: Commitment to continuing learning. Proficiency with tax software such as RIA, CCH IntelliConnect, OneSource, BNA or Lexis Nexis. Experience with Gift, Estate and Trust tax planning and compliance is a plus. What We Look For

Comprehensive compensation and benefits package with salaries in the base range of $82,000 to $135,200 (NYC Metro/Washington State/California ranges differ).
