Join our team as a key player in our retail stores! As a Retail Sales Associate, you will work directly with wholesale and retail customers to understand their needs and provide expert advice on Sherwin-Williams products. Your role is crucial for ensuring customer satisfaction and achieving sales goals.
This position is part-time, with a starting pay of $14/hr, and you will need to be available to work at stores within a 10-mile radius of our location at 731 Rolling Creek Drive, New Albany IN, 47150.
Your responsibilities will include:
Ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction through exceptional sales service.
Assisting customers in person and over the phone by identifying their needs and recommending suitable products.
Building trustworthy relationships with both wholesale and retail customers.
Processing sales transactions swiftly and in accordance with company policies.
Aiming to meet and exceed monthly, quarterly, and yearly sales goals.
Maintaining accurate work order files and product formulas.
Retrieving products from the sales floor or warehouse as needed.
Tinting and mixing products to meet customer specifications.
Restocking shelves and creating attractive displays.
Cleaning store equipment and maintaining the overall appearance of the store.
Loading and unloading delivery trucks.
Assisting with deliveries as required.
Keeping assigned areas in-stock and visually appealing.
Staying informed about product offerings and being able to discuss options with customers.
Adhering to inventory control procedures.
Proposing strategies to enhance sales.
Minimum Requirements:
Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
Legally authorized to work in the country without needing sponsorship for a work visa.
Valid, unrestricted Driver's License is essential.
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. frequently, and up to 70 lbs. on occasion, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Willingness to work scheduled hours, including evenings and weekends.
Preferred Qualifications:
High School diploma or GED.
At least one (1) year of experience in delivery, retail, or customer service roles.
Experience in selling paint and related products is a plus.
Familiarity with tinting and mixing equipment.
Ability to communicate in more than one language, especially Spanish.
