Employee Relations Manager

We treat a large portion of Texans diagnosed with cancer each year. Responsibilities
Craft and lead the employee relations strategy for Texas Oncology, ensuring consistent application of philosophy, practice, tools, and templates; provide ongoing recommendations to reduce risk to the Practice.
Serve as an Employee Relations expert, guiding and conducting investigations for ER issues. Lead the Texas Oncology ER Team and partner with leaders to resolve issues with a focus on risk mitigation. Ensure ER actions are appropriate, fair, and consistent with corporate policy, ER quality standards, and regulations.
Manage execution of ER issues reported through the employee hotline; conduct investigations as needed and document findings and closure. Partner with legal counsel as needed.
Serve as expert on ADA/ADAAA accommodation and interactive process; partner with local HR representatives to manage these matters. Collaborate with the Leave Management Supervisor to ensure consistent and appropriate leave policies and practices.
Lead the Termination Review process for involuntary terminations, including documentation review, consultation with HR Partners, and escalation to legal counsel as required.
Partner on projects with Compliance, Learning & Development, Shared Services, and other functions; conduct trainings on investigations, progressive discipline, employee relations, and leader coaching.
Proactively work with HR Business Partners and Practice leadership to identify long-term or ongoing performance issues and develop action plans, including advising on Performance Improvement Plans and outcomes.
Stay current on ER laws and regulations; maintain ER metrics and analysis as directed; serve as an ER subject matter expert to HR Partners and Practice Leaders.
Qualifications Minimum Job Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, business, or related field; Master’s degree preferred
10+ years in Human Resources
5–8 years in Employee Relations
Healthcare industry experience preferred
Certifications/Licensure: PHR or SPHR preferred
Specialized Knowledge/Skills
Working knowledge of current employment law and regulations, legislation, and trends affecting ER matters
Appropriate handling of ER matters to mitigate risk and escalation
ER investigations and documentation
Involuntary termination reviews
ER hotline call management
Ability to work within a large matrixed organizational structure
Experience influencing practice leadership and HR in the healthcare industry
