Regional and Generational Programs Coordinator

The Regional & Generational Programs Coordinator is responsible for supporting the Alumni Relations team’s comprehensive engagement strategy, specifically regarding class/generational and club/regional affinities. This position facilitates events, elections, and communications, and coordinates with the Alumni Relations Finance and Operations team on regional and generational program-related financial processes (class dues, club funding, etc.). The Coordinator also recruits and manages committees of volunteer leaders for assigned cohorts, and designs/delivers programming for these program areas. In addition, the Coordinator works with the Associate Director to ensure that club- and class-related leadership groups are supported and stewarded appropriately. Education And Experience Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required. Minimum 3 years of experience in alumni relations, volunteer management, development, fundraising, event planning, or similar required. Experience in higher education or a nonprofit setting and experience in event planning are also desired. Job Competencies Experience working with volunteers/external constituency groups. Ability to work collaboratively with volunteer groups and leaders. Strong knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google suite of tools, experience with web and email technology, experience using databases, ability to find, learn, use, and master new technology quickly. Must have working knowledge of Eventbrite, Zoom, and other virtual event platforms. Excellent customer relations and relationship-building skills, and a high level of tact, discretion, and diplomacy required. Excellent time management, verbal and written communication skills, with ability to successfully interact with faculty, senior administration, and high-profile alumni. Ability to work both independently and in a team atmosphere. Must be a creative self-starter with the ability to think strategically, possess superior people skills, and be able to juggle many highly sensitive issues and tasks at once. Ability to apply tact and maintain confidentiality. Customer-focused, customer service orientation. Must be able to work occasional evenings and weekends and travel as needed. Background Check:
