The Managing Senior Veterinarian will provide the appropriate clinical environment to support biomedical research directed towards significant human health issues and nonhuman primate health and biology. The Senior Manager is expected to assure that clinical and research support services meet CNPRC academic research goals and objectives. Key responsibilities include: Primate Medicine Unit Management Research Services Management Primate Medicine Long Range Planning Chief Of Service & Compliance Minimum qualifications: DVM or equivalent degree from an AVMA-accredited veterinary medical college or school and eligible for licensure to practice veterinary medicine in the State of California. Board-certified by the American College of Laboratory Animal Medicine. Experience working with a variety of nonhuman Primate species or other complex animal models. Preferred qualifications: USDA accreditation to Perform federally mandated duties associated with operation of a laboratory animal research facility. Contributions to the field of laboratory animal research and/or medicine at Local and national levels. The University of California, Davis is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
