The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $22.00 per hour based on skills and experience. This position is non-exempt and overtime-eligible. The Certified Medication Technician is responsible for administering medications to designated residents in a safe and organized manner. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, assisting with medications, documentation, and resident care. The technician must have strong communication skills and be able to effectively communicate with residents, families, and team members. They must observe and report changes in residents' physical condition or behavior and carry out all duties of a Resident Assistant. Responsible for: Ensuring that the attainment of Victory Housing, Inc. Mission Statement takes precedence over all decisions and actions. Adhering to all Victory Housing policies, procedures, COMAR 10.07.14 regulations, and County, State, and Federal guidelines including DOH, CDC, CMS, and OSHA. Implementing universal precautions and infection control protocols, wearing assigned PPE appropriately. Completing all required training including orientation, COMAR requirements, in-services, HIPAA, and personal care modules. Participating in safety and disaster drills as assigned. Coordinating with Registered Nurse/LPN on clinical matters and medication delivery. Reading and documenting pertinent information in the Communication Log. Administering medications using the EMAR platform, ensuring correct drug, resident, route, dosage, time, and charting. Ensuring medications are not expired and bringing medications discreetly to residents. Maintaining confidentiality of resident medication information. Checking resident identity prior to medication administration and offering water or other prescribed items. Documenting medication administration and resident concerns accurately. Reporting resident refusals and questions to the appropriate nurse or coordinator. Returning and locking medication carts after use. Practicing proper hand hygiene and universal precautions. Preparing medications for residents' short-term absences and maintaining medication cart cleanliness. Adhering to narcotics count policies. Assisting with resident care and physical support as needed. Initiating incident reports when necessary. Promoting dignity and quality of care for residents. Communicating with the clinical team regarding residents' health issues. Serving meals with hospitality and assisting with meal service as needed, including safety procedures and supporting team efforts. Responsibilities in the dining room include: Walking residents to the dining room and assisting them into their chairs, as wheelchairs are not permitted in the dining area. Setting tables with condiments and making sure all items are present. Preparing and maintaining beverage stands and tray stands. Ensuring all residents are in the dining room before starting service and assisting with serving meals and beverages. Serving meals at safe temperatures, covering, and following food safety practices. Providing seconds and assisting with individual needs such as cutting meat. Offering beverage refills and assisting with clearing dishes. Providing diabetic desserts if appropriate. Following safety procedures for lifting, fire, disaster, and infection control, and reporting unsafe conditions or equipment issues. Maintaining good public relations and a positive atmosphere. Supporting team efforts, attending meetings and training, and responding promptly to call bells and phone calls. Performing other tasks assigned by the supervisor. Requirements:

Must be current on all vaccinations, including COVID-19 and booster doses as recommended by the CDC.
