We are looking for a Client Engagement Specialist to join our team and provide exceptional customer service to residents seeking assistance with economic programs and resources.

From helping families and individuals access programs that put food on the table, warm their homes, and find childcare to protecting those too young or too old to protect themselves, DHS is the team of people who ensure families and individuals in our community have what they need to live a stable life now and in the future.
Economic Services (a division within the Department of Human Services) is responsible for administering a range of critical public assistance programs including Cash, Child Care, Emergency, Energy, Food and Medical Assistance, as well as connecting customers to other vital resources and supports.
The Economic Services (ES) Client Engagement Team helps people apply for and access benefits and services. They answer questions, schedule appointments, and refer clients to other resources. The Client Engagement Specialist (El Jebel) is the main point of contact for Eagle County residents in the Roaring Fork Valley who need help with ES programs. This is a mostly independent role requiring good customer service skills.

Responsibilities
Provide exceptional customer service in-person, virtually, and by phone
Answer questions, schedule appointments, and resolve client issues
Manage client documents and referrals
Assist with public assistance programs like SNAP and Medicaid
Work independently in our El Jebel office
Qualifications
Bilingual (English/Spanish) required
2+ years of customer service or related experience (human services preferred)
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and make sound decisions
Strong computer skills and proficiency with Google Suite
