The Department of Educational Leadership at California State University, Fullerton invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in Ed.D. The Department is seeking an outstanding faculty colleague to join departmental efforts in preparing reflective scholar-practitioners committed to just, equitable, and inclusive education. CSUF Educational Leadership faculty are committed teachers and scholars who bring research and creative discovery to problems of practice in higher education settings. They teach broadly in the curricula of the department, advise students, and serve on departmental and university-wide committees. Position Responsibilities

Develop and teach graduate-level courses in community college leadership and related areas. Chair and serve on doctoral dissertation committees. Maintain an active research agenda leading to peer-reviewed publications and presentations. Participate in curriculum development and program improvement efforts. Advise and mentor doctoral students. May have opportunity to also contribute to Masters of Science in Higher Education Program. Engage in service at the department, college, university, and community levels. Teaching Assignments May Include

Community College Leadership and Governance Higher Education Policy and Politics Research Methods (Qualitative, Quantitative, or Mixed Methods) Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in Higher Education Organizational Theory and Change Dissertation Development and Research Required Qualifications

Earned doctorate in Higher Education Leadership, Community College Leadership, Educational Leadership, or a closely related field. Demonstrated expertise or leadership experience in community colleges or postsecondary education. Evidence of teaching effectiveness at the graduate level. Strong record or promise of scholarly productivity. Demonstrated ability to work effectively with diverse student populations, including Latinx, Black, Pacific Islander, and other historically marginalized communities. Demonstrated ability to infuse equity-minded practices into teaching, scholarship, and service. Research agenda addressing issues of equity, student success, or leadership in community colleges. Experience with online teaching and integrating technology into instruction. Preferred Qualifications

Professional leadership experience in community colleges (instructional or administrative roles). Experience mentoring graduate or doctoral students. Familiarity in chairing dissertation committees, including dissertation in practice (DiP) methodologies. Application

The College of Education aims to provide just, equitable, and inclusive education. Goals include embedding perspectives of diverse learners into teaching and scholarship, teaching with an anti-racist lens, and impacting schools and communities by dismantling systems of oppression. The department operates with a distributed leadership model and collaborates with the Center for Research on Educational Access and Leadership (CREAL). The Ed.D. in Community College Educational Leadership focuses on research of practice, change agency, systems thinking, power and policy, self-reflection, community partnerships, and inclusive education. Compensation

The Assistant Professor (Academic Year) salary range is $5,405 to $11,994 monthly (12 payments per year). The anticipated hiring range is $7,193 to $7,334 per month. Salary is commensurate with experience. The California Equal Pay Act applies. Summer research grants, moving expenses, start-up funds, and a reduced teaching load may be available. Benefits
