About the Role
\n Seeking a
Lead Platform Engineer
to strengthen its observability, reliability, and cloud infrastructure capabilities. This role combines
hands-on engineering
with
strategic leadership , working closely with product teams to ensure systems are performant, reliable, and scalable. \n The engineer will set performance/availability objectives, drive automation, provide technical mentorship, and guide the adoption of modern DevOps, observability, and cloud-native practices. \n
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
\n
\n
Define and track
availability and performance objectives , implementing improvements as needed. \n
Interpret evolving product team requirements and adjust platform/tooling accordingly. \n
Provide
subject matter expertise
in Test-Driven Development (TDD) and Agile methodologies. \n
Deliver hands-on
configuration, development, and automation
across cloud and observability platforms. \n
Mentor team members and contribute thought leadership in platform engineering. \n
Partner with stakeholders to advise on innovative, out-of-the-box technical solutions. \n
Ensure observability tooling and platform services support
CI/CD pipelines and modern DevOps practices . \n
\n
Must Haves
\n
\n
8 years of experience in
observability, site reliability, or cloud infrastructure . \n
Strong
hands-on expertise with AWS & Azure services , including monitoring/logging (CloudWatch, CloudTrail, Azure Monitor, Log Analytics). \n
Proficiency with
observability stacks/APM tools : Prometheus, Grafana, Elastic stack, OpsRamp, OpenTelemetry, or similar. \n
Understanding of
containerized environments
(Docker, Kubernetes) and orchestration. \n
Scripting/automation experience:
Python, Bash, Terraform, Ansible . \n
Knowledge of
system performance tuning, incident management, and root cause analysis . \n
Familiarity with
CI/CD pipelines
and modern DevOps practices. \n
P
roblem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills . \n

Nice to Haves

Certifications : AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Administrator, or Solutions Architect. \n
Experience with
serverless and hybrid cloud architectures . \n
