About the Job:
The Production Planner and Scheduler will oversee production planning, scheduling, and resource management within the manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in aligning customer demand, production capacity, and supply chain resources to ensure on-time delivery. This role requires strong analytical skills, industry knowledge, and the ability to collaborate cross-functionally in a dynamic environment. • Develop and maintain the Master Production Schedule (MPS) to align with customer demand, inventory targets, and manufacturing capacity. • Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and manufacturing teams to ensure timely availability of materials and components. • Analyze capacity constraints and recommend adjustments to optimize throughput and minimize bottlenecks. • Track and update schedules to reflect changes in customer orders, design modifications, or supply chain disruptions. • Evaluate and schedule engineering resources to meet production requirements. • Translate customer forecasts and orders into executable production plans. • Balance long-term strategic planning with short-term operational adjustments to meet delivery commitments. • Monitor demand variability and collaborate with sales and operations to manage risks and opportunities. • Work closely with the supply chain team to ensure that critical raw materials, components, and outsourced services are available on time. • Identify shortages or potential delays and develop contingency plans to mitigate risks. • Manage capacity planning for labor, equipment, and test facilities. • Track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as schedule adherence, lead time accuracy, and on-time delivery. • Assist in conducting root-cause analysis for missed schedules and implement corrective actions. • Drive continuous improvement initiatives in scheduling, planning processes, and ERP system utilization.
Qualifications: • 3+ years in production planning, scheduling, or supply chain roles • Knowledge of production planning methodologies • Advanced Excel and data analysis capabilities
Salary range:
$80K-$90Kdepending on experience
