Overview

The Senior Territory Sales Manager is responsible for promoting and selling IDT’s full portfolio, including custom oligonucleotide solutions across key application areas such as qPCR, CRISPR, Functional Genomics, Synthetic Biology, and Next Generation Sequencing. This role requires consistent customer support and the ability to drive customer consultations and partnerships within the assigned territory to achieve profit and revenue growth goals. The position reports to the Regional Sales Manager – Genomics, West and is part of the Central & Western US Sales team located in Texas (preferably Houston, TX). In This Role, You Will Have The Opportunity To
Develop and manage assigned accounts strategically to deliver solutions, drive revenue growth, prospect new accounts, and prepare information for all sales calls to secure new customers.
Identify Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and Key Decision Makers (KDMs), leveraging internal resources to achieve high customer satisfaction.
Secure customer commitment for accurate forecasting and planning exercises.
Schedule sales visits and travel itineraries to address customer needs and execute sales strategies with timely follow-up and CRM/Salesforce notes.
Develop knowledge of CRM and funnel management tools to forecast business, manage opportunities, build pipelines, and inform business decisions; maintain records and communications with customers through CRM tools.
The Essential Requirements Of The Job Include
Master’s degree in a Life Science field or bachelor’s degree with relevant Life Sciences technical sales experience
5+ years of prior sales experience in life science reagents/consumables
Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets for at least 3 years
Residence in the assigned region with extensive familiarity with academic, corporate, and/or government accounts
Experience with applications within qPCR, CRISPR, and NGS
Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements
Ability to travel – 50% travel, overnight within territory or locations
Must have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record

Previous laboratory practice and understanding
PhD in a Life Science
Experience with CRM tools (Salesforce) and knowledge of Power BI
Compensation & Benefits The annual salary range for this role is $140,000-$160,000. This range may be modified in the future. The role is eligible for bonus/incentive pay. IDT offers a comprehensive benefits package including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance, and a 401(k). Some roles are eligible for remote work where applicable.
