Senior Mechanical Engineer / Project Manager to lead mechanical engineering projects on a full-time, direct basis at our Newark, DE office. Base pay range

$140,000.00/yr - $170,000.00/yr Responsibilities

Manage multidisciplinary project teams delivering a diverse portfolio of projects including R&D facilities, laboratories, central utility plants, academic institutions, and commercial buildings. Oversee all aspects of projects including budget, scheduling, quality, staffing, client communications, and management of sub-consultants. Provide technical leadership and guidance to team members; review and approve drawings, specifications, and calculations; and complete design tasks as needed. Prepare proposals based on client RFPs, scopes of work, or general requests. Monitor project billings, manage outstanding accounts receivable, and support collection efforts. Maintain strong client relationships while contributing to new business development efforts. Basic Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field. 12+ years of experience in the MEP consulting industry. Strong knowledge of HVAC and mechanical utility system design, including equipment sizing, selection, and specification development. Familiarity with applicable codes and standards (ICC Codes, ASHRAE, NFPA, etc.). Experience with engineering calculations such as cooling/heating loads, psychrometrics, duct static pressure, and hydraulic analysis for piping systems. Preferred Qualifications

Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred. Minimum of 2 years of direct project management experience. Proven expertise with HVAC and mechanical utility system technology. Experience with laboratory space design and plumbing systems. Proficiency with design and modeling tools (AutoCAD, MicroStation, Revit, Trane TRACE). Active membership in industry organizations such as ASHRAE or ASPE. Strong organizational skills and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with experience presenting to clients and stakeholders. Seniority level
