Principal Mechanical Engineer . This position will be located in

Colorado Springs, CO

and will support the Sentinel program. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package. What You’ll Get To Do

The qualified candidate will report to the Team Lead in C&L Infrastructure. They will design, document, and test cables and or breakout boxes. Conducts LRU interface research, process documents and collaborates with other engineers to determine best design for each set of cables. Will integrate delivered LRUs under direction of the technical lead. Position Benefits

The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off. You’ll Bring These Qualifications

5 years of relevant experience with a Bachelors Degree in a STEM field of study; 3 years with a Masters; 1 year with a PhD. Must have an active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance at time of application, current and within scope, with an ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business need. Experience with design/fabrication techniques for structural details, assemblies, and/or installations. Experience with 3D modeling tools. Experience using product lifecycle management (PLM) and/or Product Data Management (PDM) tools. These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have

ICBM Experience. Experience in creating a Product Definition Package (PDP) or PDP like products. Experience with the ASME Y14.X suite of engineering drawing standards. Ability to work closely with multiple functional organizations (Engineering, Manufacturing, Purchasing, Field Operations, etc.). Experience with Siemens NX and CPLM.
