A Day in the Life of an Engineer II/III You will design safer, more sustainable transportation networks and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver multimodal projects—from roadway reconstructions and streetscapes to signature trail projects. You will use tools like AutoCAD to produce high-quality plans, manage tasks and small projects, coordinate with clients, and contribute to feasibility studies, concept plans, and construction documents. Your work helps make communities more connected and livable. Salary and Benefits We target a salary of $85,000 to $97,500 for this position; candidates with a PE may qualify for more. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, retirement, a health savings account (HSA), a flexible spending account (FSA), 8 holidays, and at least 16 days of PTO per year. We support transportation options by offering incentives to bike, walk, or use transit. Qualifications Bachelor's or master's degree in civil engineering 2+ years of transportation-related experience Experience in AutoCAD Specific knowledge of roadway geometric design Preferred/Additional Skills Interest in multimodal and active transportation design, sustainability, and challenging projects Familiarity with design software (Civil 3D, GEOPAK, or MicroStation) Proficiency in GIS (ArcGIS/QGIS) Experience developing construction documents and cost estimates Experience analyzing and designing stormwater infrastructure Work Schedule This full-time position typically requires 40 hours per week with flexibility for remote work up to two days per week. The Boston office is located near Post Office Square, with access to MBTA transit, bicycles, and walking options.
