Civil Engineer II/III . This position focuses on roadway design and active transportation, with opportunities to work on multimodal projects that enhance livability and equity in communities. As an Engineer II/III, you will help design safer, more sustainable transportation networks and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver multimodal projects, including roadway reconstructions, streetscapes, and signature trail projects. You will use tools like AutoCAD to produce high-quality plans, manage tasks and small projects, coordinate with clients, and contribute to feasibility studies, concept plans, and construction documents. Your work will support more connected and livable communities. Salary target:
We are targeting a salary of $85,000 to $97,500 for this position. Candidates with a PE may qualify for more. Qualifications
Bachelor's or master's degree in civil engineering Engineer in Training (EIT) certification 2+ years of transportation-related experience Experience in AutoCAD Specific knowledge of roadway geometric design Preferred qualifications
Strong interest in multimodal and active transportation design, sustainability, and challenging projects that improve livability Familiarity with design software such as Civil 3D, GEOPAK, or MicroStation Proficiency in GIS (ArcGIS/QGIS) Experience developing construction documents and cost estimates Experience preparing conceptual design plans Experience analyzing and designing stormwater infrastructure Work Schedule
This is a full-time role with a typical 40-hour work week. The position offers flexibility to work from home up to two days per week. The Boston office is located near Post Office Square, with access to MBTA lines, and is convenient for walking, cycling, and transit. How to Apply
