Role:
KSL is seeking a qualified candidate to join the Strategy & Capital Formation team as an Associate. Associates play an important role in driving the firm's fundraising efforts across multiple investment vehicles, with a focus on assisting with the creation of impactful investor materials, managing investor relationships, conducting in-depth macro research and preparing quantitative analyses. This role offers the opportunity to play a pivotal part in supporting the firm's growth initiatives while gaining experience in a fast paced, collaborative and rewarding environment.
Responsibilities:
Fundraising & Marketing: Prepare fundraising materials, pitchbooks, and other investor-facing communications (e.g., presentations, reports, ad hoc requests); support annual meetings and internal firmwide leadership updates. Investor Relations: Act as a primary point of contact for investors, managing inquiries and due diligence; support identification of prospective investors, outreach strategy, and roadshow planning and logistics. Performance & Data Analysis: Conduct quantitative analyses across portfolio, fund, and investor levels, including IRR, MOIC, and cash flow modeling. Product Strategy: Support the development of new investment products and fund structures through market research, competitive analysis, and cross-functional collaboration with Legal, Fund Ops, and Compliance. Macro Research: Track market trends, investor sentiment, and macroeconomic developments; prepare regular updates to inform both internal and external communications. CRM & Investor Tracking: Maintain and leverage DealCloud CRM for investor record-keeping, distribution list creation, IOI tracking, and preparation of roadshow briefing and follow-up materials. Internal Collaboration: Partner with Deal Teams, Legal, Fund Operations, and Strategic Operations to develop marketing materials, manage subscription documentation, and support diligence processes and investor audits. Firm Representation: Build fluency in KSL's strategy, portfolio, and offerings to effectively engage current and prospective investors through pitches, portfolio reviews, and meetings. Desired Skills and Experience:
2-4+ years of experience in investor relations, investment banking or private equity Experience working within travel & leisure or real estate preferred but not required Strong financial modeling skills, including proficiency in Excel and the ability to work with performance metrics (IRR, MOIC, DPI) Advanced PowerPoint skills required, with experience preparing external-facing presentations and reports Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong presentation abilities Ability to build and maintain relationships with investors, senior management, and internal teams Excellent attention to detail and ability to deliver high-quality work under tight deadlines Self-starer with excellent operational and organizational skills and the ability to manage and process complex work Bachelor's degree required
