Job Overview We’re seeking a Data & Quoting Analyst to join our growing team – someone who’s comfortable with spreadsheets, systems, and software tools, and excited to dig into customer data, streamline quoting processes, and help us win new business. This role is an ideal entry point for individuals pursuing a career in business, accounting, or supply chain, offering real-world experience in data analysis, quoting, and supplier interaction. You’ll be responsible for preparing accurate material cost quotes based on customer-supplied data, ensuring alignment with project goals, and helping internal teams deliver results. You’ll be in the driver’s seat for preparing material quotes, cleaning and interpreting customer data, and identifying the best path forward for each project. You’ll also work closely with purchasing, engineering, and operations, gaining exposure across the business and contributing to the continuous improvement of our systems and processes. This position may also support purchasing activities or contribute to ad hoc operations and sourcing projects.
Primary Responsibilities Material Quoting & Cost Analysis
Own the process of generating material quotes based on customer bills of materials (BOMs)
Work with suppliers and internal databases to determine accurate material costs
Ensure quotes are aligned with customer goals, lead times, and technical requirements
Track and organize historical quote data for future reference and pricing strategy
Data Review & Processing
Receive and review customer data files, ensuring all required information is present
Scrub, structure, and standardize data for internal use
Work cross-functionally to clarify data discrepancies or assumptions
Outcome-Driven Problem Solving
Understand customer intent and project goals to guide quoting decisions
Identify opportunities to optimize cost, delivery, and technical performance
Think critically about how internal systems and vendor strategies affect outcomes
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Support
Occasionally support the
purchasing team
on sourcing and supplier follow-up
Participate in
ad hoc projects
related to pricing, supply chain operations, or vendor evaluations
Maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders in engineering, operations, and finance
Continuous Improvement & Documentation
Maintain clear documentation of quoting methods, vendor interactions, and project decisions
Provide feedback on processes and tools for improving quoting accuracy and efficiency
Contribute to system improvements that reduce manual steps or enhance data visibility
Key Requirements
Strong ability to multi-task and adapt within a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency with Excel or similar tools for organizing and analyzing data
Interest in business operations, accounting, or supply chain management
Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
Proven ability to thrive in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Qualifications
Associate degree or equivalent experience preferred.
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
