Our client, a midsize CPA firm with multiple offices in Wisconsin, is seeking an Audit Manager or Senior Manager with experience in Government Agencies, Nonprofit Organizations, and/or Charter Schools. The position can be located either in Madison or Milwaukee. Primary Responsibilities: Review and prepare financial statements, footnotes, workpapers, management letters, agreed-upon procedures, and other attestation engagements. Demonstrate professional creativity in client dealings and suggest improvements to client operations. Analyze client transactions, identify and resolve potential or existing issues through research and consulting. Accept responsibility and utilize firm resources to complete assignments. Oversee, mentor, and develop staff. Job Requirements: 5+ years of experience in a public accounting firm. Experience with Government Agencies, Nonprofit Organizations, and/or Charter Schools. Strong analytical, technical, and auditing skills, including knowledge of US GAAP, GAAS, and PCAOB standards. Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in accounting. CPA licensure required. Excellent client service, communication, and interpersonal skills. Strong leadership, mentoring, and presentation skills. Entrepreneurial spirit. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
