We are seeking a Scientific, Engineering, and Technical Assistance (SETA) Support Specialist to join our team in support of a government research funding organization dedicated to investing in high-risk, high-payoff research programs to tackle some of the most difficult challenges of national security. The successful candidate will support the government program manager by participating in or leading all activities in support of the Program lifecycle in the areas of program development, source selection, execution, closeout, and transition. The candidate will also be responsible for coordinating meetings, assessing performer technical progress, projecting performer outcomes, and ensuring that project management best practices are followed by performers, independent verification and validation (IV&V) entities, and within the government funding organization itself. This research program is advancing language and speech processing through AI/ML coupled with privacy technologies. Responsibilities Support the Program Manager in tracking schedules, deliverables, risks, and budgets. Coordinate across government, academic, and industry research teams. Review and assess technical deliverables, milestones, and evaluation results. Track risks, dependencies, and integration issues across performers. Prepare reports, technical summaries, and briefings for senior leadership. Stay current on advances in speech technologies, anonymization, and adversarial AI. Qualifications Required: Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Linguistics, or related technical field (PhD a plus). 5+ years’ experience in speech processing, signal processing, or machine learning. Strong knowledge of privacy-preserving technologies. Proven experience supporting R&D program management or technical project leadership. Excellent communication and technical writing skills. Experience with DARPA/IARPA or federal R&D program processes. Knowledge of real-time systems and multilingual speech technologies. Familiarity with test & evaluation methods, including human subject and objective speech assessments. Why Join Us?
