Responsibilities
Design, simulate, and validate analog and digital circuits for therapeutic and sensing applications (e.g., bio-impedance, optical sensors, motion sensing, audio processing). Develop and optimize low-power, portable, battery-operated electronics including current sources, DAC/ADC interfaces, and driver circuits. Select and integrate components for signal conditioning, wireless connectivity, power management, and microcontroller-based systems. Support PCB layout, schematic development, and bill of materials creation. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (firmware, mechanical, product, and clinical) to ensure reliable system integration and end-user usability. Create and execute test plans, and perform verification and validation activities at the bench. Contribute to risk assessments, reliability considerations, and compliance with relevant safety and performance standards. Document design decisions and support quality system requirements and regulatory submissions. Qualifications: B.S. or M.S. in Electrical Engineering or related discipline. 3+ years of experience with mixed-signal circuit design; experience in regulated product development or consumer electronics preferred. Strong skills in circuit simulation, schematic capture, prototyping, and troubleshooting. Background in bioelectrical interfaces, sensing, or stimulation technologies a plus. Knowledge of EMC, signal integrity, safety, and manufacturability considerations. Familiarity with design controls and full product development lifecycle is beneficial. Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across disciplines.
