Overview

DHL Express is hiring for an Aircraft Mechanic at our Miami Aviation station. The jobholder will perform tasks required in an aircraft line, including repairs, and calibrate and adjust the aircraft’s radio and electric systems. Responsibilities

Problem Solving: quickly identify mechanical issues and take fast, high-quality corrective actions. Decision-Making: make timely decisions to ensure aircrafts are functioning properly. Planning and Organizing: prepare technical paperwork, equipment, tooling, parts, and materials to complete a job efficiently. Job Challenge: be accountable for quality of work, ensuring tasks are completed safely and efficiently. Key Accountabilities

Follow supervisor/lead instructions prior to aircraft arrival during the shift. Review aircraft log entries with flight personnel on trip arrivals. Familiarity with FAA regulations (AAC Civil aviation of Panama Regulations optional). Familiarity with procedures in our General Maintenance Manual (GMM). Responsible for aircraft service checks. Work with technical publications and ensure work is completed on time according to manufacturer maintenance manual specifications. Perform daily tasks in accordance with FAA/AAC/Civil Aviation of Panama regulations and the GMM. Maintain high standards of safety, quality, and professionalism; keep work areas, vehicles, and materials clean and safe. Move and manipulate parts using hand tools; capable of handling small parts. Work in confined or awkward spaces as required; climb in and out of aircraft during repairs. Communicate issues promptly to superiors that may affect operation or flight schedule. Travel as an on-board mechanic when required or to recover company aircraft. Complete paperwork related to maintenance actions and enter data into the records system (Trax) accurately and promptly. Provide aircraft airworthiness releases and RII inspections when required. Familiarize with operations to act as supervisor if required, and perform inspections of designated items when authorized by the Senior Manager, Quality Control and Quality Assurance. Possess aircraft line maintenance tools and perform other assigned duties as required. Skills and Qualifications

Inspect, test, and repair aircraft electrical and avionics systems including communication, navigation, radar, flight control, lighting, and power distribution. Diagnose malfunctions using wiring diagrams, schematics, test equipment, and maintenance manuals. Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on avionics systems; remove and replace LRUs; assist in modifications and upgrades. Verify system performance using specialized tools (break-boxes, multimeters, and test equipment). Ensure safety and quality standards during all tasks; coordinate with Maintenance Control and Maintenance Leads for troubleshooting and repair solutions. Maintain avionics-related tools and test equipment; provide on-site avionics support during AOG events when required. Requirements

Current FAA A&P License (required) FCC License (Desired) Minimum 3 years of experience as Avionic Technician in Commercial or Cargo Airlines High school education required (Associate degree desired) Proficiency with interpretation of avionic/electrical wiring diagrams, wire identification, harness fabrication, cables, fittings, circuits, and connectors Able to work independently and under pressure Knowledge or certificate training in B767 / B757 Strong communication and interpersonal skills Work Authorization
