Description
Under the direction of the Distribution Shipping Lead, your primary responsibility will be processing packages to receive, store, and ship inventory in alignment with work orders and shipping schedules.
• Preparing packages for shipment by cleaning, securing, packing, and labeling them to meet order and customer requirements.
• Understanding of hazmat rules and regulations, labeling and placarding.
• Safe operation of tools and equipment needed to perform prep work - examples include Crimping tools, stretch wrap machines, pneumatic tools, hand tools and drum pickers.
• Use of RF Scanner to select and pick orders, for product location moves and for receiving in material.
• Recording warehouse inventory movements accurately for all received and shipped packages on purchase and sales orders
• Completing inventory movements both physically and within the company ERP system through use of RF Scanner.
• Responsible to ensure that pick-ups by the carrier specified on the customer's purchase order which is conveyed to Customer Service/ Shipping Clerk by final inspection via the shipping instructions
• Must report defective materials or questionable conditions to the department Lead and/or Manager Conduct Daily Inventory Checks • Ensures all equipment, guards, and safety devices are in place at all times, and follow safe work procedures and safety rules like but not limited to chocking tires prior to loading, ensuring motor is off or airline has been disconnected and lock applied.
• Operates powered industrial trucks to transport inventory and load trailers, pickups, flatbeds and small box trucks for shipment.
Transports inventory in warehouse to correct locations and stages orders for shipment. • Performs other related duties as required

Qualifications and Education Requirements
Required:
GED or High School Diploma Must have the ability to lift up to fifty (50) pounds on occasion and regularly stand, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. This position may also require climbing or balancing. Effective and proven communication skills (both written and verbal) working in a team environment. Proven ability to effectively manage multiple projects/tasks at the same time. Effective record-keeping skills and the ability to focus on details. • Hazmat knowledge
