Senior Project Manager - Banking Software (Teller/Branch Systems) Location:
Remote (LATAM candidates encouraged - must work U.S./Canadian business hours)
About the Role:
We are seeking experienced Senior Project Managers to lead digital transformation projects in the banking domain-specifically teller and branch systems. This role requires strong banking knowledge, excellent project leadership skills, and the ability to manage complex, multi-stakeholder initiatives across international teams.
Key Responsibilities: Lead end-to-end delivery of teller/branch software projects for banking clients. Manage project planning, estimation, scope, timelines, budgets, and risks. Coordinate cross-functional teams (developers, analysts, QA, client stakeholders). Apply both Waterfall and Agile methodologies depending on project needs. Ensure clear communication with executive stakeholders, technical teams, and international partners. Drive issue resolution, conflict management, and contract/scope negotiations as required. Produce regular reporting (status updates, dashboards, risk logs) and maintain documentation using tools like JIRA and Confluence.
What We're Looking For: Banking Experience:
6+ years in Project Management, with proven experience in teller/branch software or retail banking transformation projects. Project Management Skills:
Track record of delivering complex IT projects on time and within budget. Strong planning, estimation, risk management, and reporting abilities. Methodologies:
Hands-on experience with both Waterfall and Agile (Scrum/Kanban) approaches. PMP, CSM, or PMI-ACP certifications are a plus. Technical Acumen:
Familiarity with software architecture concepts, SDLC processes, and integration between teller platforms and core banking systems. Leadership & Soft Skills:
Strong team leadership, decision-making, conflict resolution, and excellent communication skills (written and verbal). Comfortable working with diverse, multicultural teams. Tools:
Proficiency with JIRA, Confluence, MS Project, or similar project management tools. Language & Time Zone:
Fluent in English; must be available to work U.S./Canadian business hours.
Nice to Have: Experience managing projects under consulting/vendor arrangements. Knowledge of banking regulations, compliance, and audit requirements. Previous involvement in digital branch or core banking modernization initiatives.
