Roll up your sleeves, connect with the community, and make a lasting impact on the environment. Whether you're a seasoned tree enthusiast or just looking for a fun way to give back, we invite you to join us for a day of hands-on sustainability and teamwork. Volunteers will play a key role in tree planting efforts, spreading mulch, playground painting, and debris removal. There will be around 20 trees planted as part of the
Ready, Set, Grow San Diego
project. Funding for this project is provided by the USDA Forest Service, Urban and Community Forestry Program. Opportunity Requirements & Important Notes
Attire:
Closed-toe shoes are required. Dress comfortably in clothing you don't mind getting dirty. This opportunity takes place outdoors with little or no shade so volunteers should wear sun protection such as sunscreen and a hat. Bring:
Reusable water bottle Physical Requirements:
Bending, shoveling dirt, and standing for the duration of the project. Unfortunately the space where this project takes place is not wheelchair accessible. Waiver:
All volunteers will be required to sign the City of San Diego's liability waiver when they arrive. Volunteers are encouraged to also sign up through the City of San Diego's
