ENGAGE: Teach Tennis to Kids with Autism
Volunteering with Aceing Autism gives you the chance to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children with autism. Every session you volunteer has a direct impact—not only on the athletes’ growth and joy but also on their families, who benefit from seeing their children thrive. Volunteers at Aceing Autism clinics help create a fun, inclusive, and supportive environment for children with autism where athletes can build confidence, social skills, and independence. On any given day, you might assist athletes on the court, help with drills, cheer them on, or support our coaching staff with setup and organization. This is a hands-on opportunity to make a tangible impact while having fun and connecting with a welcoming community. Opportunity Requirements & Important Notes
Attire:
Volunteers should wear comfortable, athletic clothing and sneakers or tennis shoes suitable for moving around on the court. Dress ready to be active and engage with their athletes! This opportunity takes place outdoors with little or no shade so volunteers should wear sun protection such as sunscreen, sunglasses, and a hat. Bring:
Volunteers should bring a water bottle. No tennis racquet is required, but you’re welcome to bring one if you have it. The most important thing to bring is your positive attitude and willingness to have fun while supporting our athletes! Physical Requirements:
Volunteers should be able to stand and move around the court for the duration of the clinic. You’ll assist athletes with tennis skills, but no prior tennis experience is required—just the ability to be active, supportive, and engaged! This project is able to make accommodations for individuals with physical limitations. The space where this project takes place is wheelchair accessible. Aceing Autism is on a mission to help children with autism to grow, develop and benefit from social connections and fitness through affordable tennis programming. The population served is people with disabilities. The activity type is sports and recreation, mentoring/youth development, and family-friendly. Requirements: Age Minimum (with Adult): 13+ Minimum Age: 13+ Express Interest
