Responsibilities
Conduct fitness assessments and evaluations to determine clients' fitness levels and goals. Develop customized exercise programs tailored to individual clients' needs and objectives. Provide instruction on proper exercise techniques and form to ensure safety and effectiveness. Motivate and support clients to achieve their fitness goals through encouragement and positive reinforcement. Monitor clients' progress and make adjustments to their fitness plans as needed. Offer nutritional guidance and advice to complement clients' workout routines. Maintain a clean and organized training environment, ensuring equipment is in good working condition. Stay up-to-date with the latest fitness trends and research to enhance training methods. Educate clients on the importance of a healthy lifestyle, including sleep, stress management, and hydration. Keep accurate records of client sessions, progress, and attendance. Ensure a safe and injury-free workout environment by enforcing safety rules and guidelines. Provide excellent customer service by addressing clients' questions and concerns promptly. Promote personal training services and assist in acquiring new clients through marketing efforts. Attend staff meetings and professional development opportunities to enhance skills. Maintain appropriate certifications and licensures required for personal training. Maintains themselves visible and approachable at all times while working the floor. Use floor hours to make cold calls to members offering personal training services such as free assessments. Reports for work as assigned. If unable to work, must secure the appropriate substitute. Assists in the cleaning and maintaining of equipment & fitness center floor areas. Ensures that all necessary equipment is available for member use, and inspects equipment to be sure that it is in safe working order. Reports damaged or out service equipment. Report all maintenance issues immediately. Monitors that the wellness floor is neat and equipment used is returned to its proper location in an organized manner before the shift is over. Daily reconciliation of personal training appointments in Mind Body application. Other duties, as assigned. Qualifications
Certified Personal Trainer with a recognized fitness certification from: ACE, NASM, ACSM, NSCA, ISSA, APFT and or BS in Exercise Science or Kinesiology. CPR and First Aid certification. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to adapt training programs to various fitness levels and goals. Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and nutrition. Experience with fitness equipment and exercise modalities. Passion for helping clients achieve their fitness and health goals.
