Description Boulder County Clerk and Recorder's Office is seeking to hire a

Bilingual Part-time Title Clerk . The Clerk and Recorder's Office is proud to serve our community through three divisions: Motor Vehicle, Recorder, and Elections. We're looking for a Part-time Bilingual Motor Vehicle Title Clerk who shares our passion for public service and wants to be a part of providing the best experience for the people of Boulder County.

The focus of Motor Vehicle is titling and registering all vehicles in the county and issuing disability placards. Our 45 team members work in three locations-Boulder, Longmont, and Lafayette.

We're looking for someone who enjoys working with people, is a great teammate, and can balance friendly and accurate service with adherence to compliance of statute and rules. You should be comfortable with data entry, pay close attention to details, and be able to quickly learn and apply complex rules. position that will work

Monday - Thursday

12:30pm - 5:30pm . This position will work out of

1755 S Public Rd , Lafayette, Colorado. Under Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) guidelines, this position is

non-exempt

(eligible for overtime).

Boulder County requires its employees to reside in the state of Colorado as of the first day of work.

Hiring Salary Range : $25,002.00 - $27,753.00 Annually

40-hour bank

of vacation at the time of hire, in addition to 4 hours of both vacation and medical leave accruals each month (Must not have been employed at Boulder County during the 12 months prior to re-hire date to qualify). Boulder County offers

Examples of Duties

Compliance:

Required to research, understand, and meet Department of Revenue legislative compliance and DRIVES (Motor Vehicle System) rules Demonstrates and applies a comprehensive knowledge of the DRIVES (MV) system Required to understand and follow Clerk and Recorder policies and county guidelines Ensures confidentiality of public member's information Complies with all cyber security requirements, trainings, and procedures

Public Service:

Ensures accuracy and compliance of MV transactions Confirms and clarifies understanding of public needs (in person, email, or phone) Researches and reviews state statutes, rules and regulations and stays current Demonstrates skillful public relations when working with the public Completes VIN inspections following safety guidelines and in designated spots Provides input and ideas for better service, accessibility and equity and inclusion

Process and Procedure requirements:

Logs and tracks all documents coming into or going out of the office on specified tracking log Provides input to ensure updated SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures)

Additional Responsibilities:

Performs related work, as required May be reassigned during emergency situations

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

Boulder County is looking for well qualified candidates to fill our positions. Any combination of relevant education and experience is encouraged. In this position, we are looking for a minimum of a

high school diploma or equivalent , and

2 (two) years

of office experience, which may include retail, restaurants, banking and others.

Additional related education may count towards required experience.

Vacation**
