Description: Reporting to the Director of Public Safety and Threat Management, the Public Safety & Threat Management Specialist is responsible for identifying, assessing, and managing threat of violence within their assigned region. This role leads or contributes to Threat Assessment & Management Teams (TAMT), coordinates with internal department and external law enforcement agencies and develops/implements required mitigation strategies to prevent/reduce the risk of violence in the workplace, to include delivering workplace violence prevention training. The estimated salary range for this position is $79,773.54 - $103,705.60 / year depending on experience. Qualifications: Degrees: Bachelors Licenses & Certifications: A relevant Security or Threat Assessment & Management certification obtained within 1 year of hire: (Certified Threat Manager (CTM) from ATAP, Certified Protection Professional (CPP) from ASIS, Professional Certified Investigator (PCI) from ASIS, Workplace Violence Prevention Certificate Program from IAHSS, Trauma-Informed Care or Crisis Intervention Training, Threat Assessment Model Training (e.g., WAVR-21, Salem-Keizer, or similar)) Additional Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, Security/Public Safety, or equivalent experience in Security/Public Safety, Threat Assessment & Management, Workplace Violence Prevention, or the following Law Enforcement experience: Investigator, Internal Affairs, Case Preparation for court bases for prosecution or litigation. Advanced experience in leading Threat Assessment & Management Teams (TAMT) and managing high-risk cases involving threatening or violent behavior across multiple facilities. Excellent oral and written communication skills; ability to write clear, concise, and defensible threat assessment reports. Ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously while maintain a high standard of documentation and confidentiality. Strong interpersonal skills to foster collaboration across department and with external agencies. Ability to analyze data using Excel, PowerBI, and other case tracking systems for turning data into actionable insight. Minimum Required Experience: 7 Years
