Job Summary: As a Perishable Selector, you'll be responsible for accurately and efficiently selecting products to build pallets for our clubs. Our temperature-controlled distribution centers range from 30 degrees in the cooler to -20 degrees in the freezer. You will typically lift between 50-100 lbs of product and operate powered equipment such as forklifts and reach trucks. Key Responsibilities: Accurately select damage-free products and build pallets following customer specifications. Verify products against pick tickets and ensure paperwork is complete and legible. Maintain a productivity level of 100% standard and accuracy levels at 99.9%. Check pallet conditions and exchange if necessary. Promptly report damage and inventory discrepancies to the supervisor. Maintain cleanliness and order in dock and facility areas. Assist in wrapping and stacking pallets for safe transport to storage. Safely operate material handling equipment after training. Adhere to all food safety and housekeeping standards. Ensure consistent attendance and perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications: High school diploma or GED; college coursework and continuing education is a plus. Warehouse experience preferred. Experience operating material handling equipment preferred. Ability to handle and prioritize requests from multiple sources. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Basic math skills for ensuring proper height and counts, and verifying pallet ID numbers. Ability to follow directions using headset selection systems. Flexibility to accommodate varied schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Environmental Job Conditions: Independently lift up to 50 lbs frequently and 100 lbs occasionally. Frequent sitting, standing, walking, bending, and squatting in a refrigerated warehouse environment. Build pallets up to 6 feet tall with case weights up to 50 lbs. Endurance for continuous, fast-paced work. Work in fluctuating temperatures, including conditions as cold as -20 degrees Fahrenheit. Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times. Be aware that products may contain allergens (such as fish, shellfish, peanuts). Utilize equipment safely and accurately after training. In accordance with the Pay Transparency requirements, the starting pay for this position is $22.00. Actual salaries will vary based on factors including location, education, experience, and qualifications.
