$118,425.00/yr - $145,039.00/yr Duties Description

The Project Director will direct multidisciplinary teams across upstate and downstate regions, demonstrating strong leadership to guide members throughout the EHR implementation, ensuring alignment with overarching goals of the OMH EHR Transformation project. duties will include, but are not limited to, the following: Cultivate a collaborative and positive team environment, using senior management expertise to facilitate effective communication and coordination among team members for successful project execution. Serve in the senior management team within Medical Informatics, specifically representing the implementation bureau of the unit. Collaborate with the CMIO, Deputy Director, and other senior management staff to ensure the EHR implementation is meeting all contractual obligations and remains on schedule and on budget. Oversee and direct the development and execution of comprehensive readiness assessments at hospital sites to evaluate preparedness for EHR implementation, leveraging strategic insight to identify barriers and risks. Ensure active collaboration with hospital stakeholders to create and implement actionable strategies that address identified gaps, reflecting a director-level ability to guide organizations through complex processes. Oversee the development and management of the onboarding process for new team members and implementation personnel, ensuring comprehensive training to maximize project effectiveness and reflect management’s commitment to workforce development. Inform the design of and facilitate targeted training initiatives for implementation teams and hospital staff, ensuring they possess the necessary competencies to utilize the EHR system, showcasing a senior-level focus on talent development. Collaborate with technical teams to enhance the EHR system in alignment with specific hospital workflows, applying high-level analytical skills to conduct gap analyses and ensure tailored solutions. Identify and develop risk mitigation strategies for potential implementation challenges, using senior management acumen to monitor and resolve issues swiftly, safeguarding project success. Oversee the continuous training and support to hospital staff during implementation, adeptly addressing inquiries and concerns while coordinating with technical teams for prompt resolution of any technical issues. Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications A bachelor’s degree AND six years of specialized experience, OR an associate degree AND eight years of specialized experience, OR ten years of specialized work experience. Three years of this experience must have been at a supervisory level; or one year of this experience must have been at a managerial level. Specialized experience must include work in any of the following areas: Application Development, Business System Analysis, IT Project Management, Database Management, Contract and Procurement Management, Information Security Management, Vendor Management and/or Customer Relations in an Information Technology Environment. Preferred Qualifications

Experience in the procurement, development, implementation, maintenance, enhancement, and/or support of Electronic Health Systems. In-depth understanding of database structure principles. Advanced SQL development using PL/SQL in enterprise Oracle platforms. Familiarity with federal health interoperability standards and code sets (USCDI, SNOMED, LOINC). Familiarity with database design, documentation and coding. Excellent knowledge of data backup, recovery, security, integrity. Demonstrated ability to develop and interpret context diagrams. Experience in analyzing data for the purpose of identifying and resolving transaction/transmission errors. Verifiable experience performing clear and complete record keeping and task tracking for large healthcare and/or IT projects using desktop and/or Office 365-based toolsets. Demonstrated analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving skills. Demonstrated ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment. Demonstrated organizational skills and ability to prioritize. Demonstrated ability to multitask effectively during busy times, and to remain patient and professional during stressful situations. Additional Comments
