About the role The Interventional Oncology & Embolization Regional Sales Director is a dynamic, self-motivated, strategic thinker with a strong sales track record and is part of our best-in-class sales leadership team. The BSC Peripheral Interventions (PI) business has the deepest product portfolio in the PI space, with a growing market and forthcoming product launches intended to strengthen our leadership position.
Our Interventional Oncology & Embolization products are used to diagnose and treat cancer through minimally invasive solutions, including vascular occlusion and embolization of blood vessels. We continue to innovate, expanding into new geographies and high-growth adjacencies, with solutions that include embolization coils/catheters and specialized ablation and embolization products. We have a robust pipeline and ongoing investments in interventional treatments to positively impact patient lives.
Responsibilities
Integrate individual territory plans and account profiles into a broader regional sales plan and coach the sales team accordingly.
Prepare quarterly regional sales forecasts and participate in determining market potential and sales expense estimates.
Monitor regional sales performance and initiate corrective actions as required.
Develop, implement and monitor a regional targeting program.
Identify forecast gaps, submit corrective strategies and drive aggressive sales growth.
Coach sales representatives on selling skills and account targeting; share experiences to motivate and teach.
Develop relationships with the economic buyer in key accounts within the region.
Maintain knowledge of the industry and competition; seek information from physicians, suppliers, and others to inform regional strategies and counter competition.
Facilitate contract negotiations and define parameters for tough economic customer situations.
Ensure effective implementation of customer records, key contacts, reports and company policies.
Maintain proper management of organization cars and equipment within the region.
Plan and control expenses to meet sales objectives within budget; manage revenue budgets.
Attend and participate in customer, company and industry forums and courses.
Develop and maintain relationships with key BSC functional areas.
Maintain a talent mindset and actively develop a pipeline of future BSC sales representatives; ensure recruitment policies are followed.
Spend a minimum of 70% time in the field with each sales representative to support development and maintain customer relationships.
Sell the full product line to all buying influences and differentiate products against competitors in front of customers.
Ensure understanding and implementation of applicable BSC SOPs (e.g., audits).
Required qualifications
Bachelor's degree (advanced degree preferred) plus 5-10 years of related experience or equivalent.
Strong medical device sales background with a proven track record of success.
Demonstrated ability to introduce differentiated/new products to market.
Ability and willingness to travel several days/nights per week.
Preferred qualifications
Management/supervisory experience.
Proven ability to manage and lead a sales team to overachievement.
Key Opinion Leader (KOL) management experience.
Proven ability to drive new procedures and device utilization/adoption.
Ability to sell economic value and impact to hospitals and IDNs.
Proven ability to assess, develop and recruit top talent.

The anticipated annual base amount or range for this full-time position will be $150,000 to $180,000, plus variable compensation under the Sales Incentive Compensation Plan, and the value of core and optional benefits as detailed at www.bscbenefitsconnect.com.
