We’re looking for an

Ad Sales

leader who’s ready to lead Moby’s revenue growth through strategic media partnerships with enterprise brands and agencies. This is a

hands-on sales leadership role

responsible for managing the full sales cycle—from sourcing to closing and renewal. You’ll own and grow Moby’s advertising business, selling our inventory across newsletters and social platforms that collectively reach tens of millions each month. The ideal candidate is an experienced media seller with deep relationships at both large advertising agencies and Fortune 500-level brands—think Fidelity, Amex, Pfzier, Proctor & Gamble, and more. You’ll report directly to the CEO and collaborate closely with marketing, operations, and product teams to activate partnerships, deliver results, and shape our go-to-market strategy. Responsibilities

Sell Moby’s ad inventory across newsletter and social media properties

Source and build relationships with advertising agencies and large brand marketers

Negotiate and close deals directly, managing the entire sales cycle

Collaborate with operations to activate campaigns, ensure smooth execution, and monitor performance

Maintain and grow long-term relationships with partners, with a focus on renewals and upsells

Partner with internal teams to package new offerings and optimize inventory pricing

Track sales metrics and performance; report regularly on pipeline and closed revenue

Represent Moby at industry events and in relevant advertising/media communities

Qualifications

4+ years of experience in advertising/media sales as an individual contributor, specifically selling to agencies and large brand advertisers

Proven track record closing deals in the media/ad inventory space

Strong network of agency contacts and direct brand relationships at Fortune 500 companies

Experience selling across newsletter, social, and other media platforms

Comfortable managing multiple deals at different stages with varying contract sizes

Clear communicator, negotiator, and relationship builder

Passion for media, investing, and digital innovation is a plus

Preferred: Based in or willing to commute to New York City for hybrid collaboration

Bonus: Experience selling into the finance sector (e.g. ETFs, asset managers, banks, lenders, fintechs)
