Director of Sales & Marketing - Hilton Garden Inn Austin (Salary $95K - $105K + Bonus) at Remington Hospitality. Position summary: The Director of Sales and Marketing at Hilton Garden Inn Austin Downtown will lead the strategic planning and execution of all sales and marketing initiatives to drive revenue growth and maximize market share. This role is responsible for developing and maintaining strong relationships with corporate clients, travel partners, and local organizations, while overseeing group sales, catering, and promotional activities. With 254 guest rooms and over 9,000 square feet of flexible meeting space, including a rooftop venue with panoramic views, the property offers a dynamic environment for hosting business and social events. The ideal candidate will bring a deep understanding of the Austin market, a passion for hospitality, and a proven track record in hotel sales leadership. This position plays a critical role in positioning the hotel as a premier destination for both leisure and business travelers in the heart of downtown Austin. Reporting: The Director of Sales and Marketing reports directly to the General Manager; the Regional Sales and Marketing Manager will interface and assist in the direction of the Sales and Marketing function at the property. Core Responsibilities

Develop sales strategies for property, including targeted market segments, rate management, solicitation procedures and advertising. Develop a realistic annual marketing plan, forecast with monthly reviews to update and modify as required by market conditions. Emphasize control procedures and yield management to assure a proper balance of rate availability to market demand. Establish and execute an effective outside sales program. Direct internal servicing of groups. Act in concert with hotel management team and property General Manager. Train all sales and marketing staff, holding them accountable to actionable results. Work in a cooperative and friendly manner with fellow associates. Practice a culture of guest service in all you do; promote courtesy, goodwill and a positive attitude in each and every encounter. Perform any reasonable request as assigned or directed by General Manager. Knowledge, Skills And Abilities

Strong business communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written. 3 years proven hotel sales experience, demonstrating proven creative thinking and results driven leadership skills. High work ethic and self-initiative. Strong computer skills in Microsoft Suite. Some travel may be required. Regular attendance according to established guidelines. May be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the property. Must possess basic computational ability. Ability to maintain excellent relationships with staff and maintain staff and guest confidentiality at all times. Ability to participate in, and at times lead departmental and/or hotel team meetings. Candidate Profile – Strongly Preferred Qualifications

Minimum of 1–2 years of leadership experience, including managing and developing employees across one to two specialized teams. Will manage an experienced team of two Sales Managers focused on Group and Business Travel segments. Proven experience in Business Travel (BT) and Group Sales, with a strong track record of driving revenue in both segments. Forecasting, reporting, and financial analysis to support strategic decision-making and revenue optimization; financially savvy with ability to present performance metrics, business cases, and sales strategies to ownership and executive leadership. Deep understanding of the Austin downtown market, including corporate demand generators, entertainment districts, and local business dynamics. Local candidates are preferred, but relocation is considered. Hilton brand experience is preferred, especially within Garden Inn or lifestyle segments. Proficiency in Delphi or similar sales and catering systems is strongly preferred. Comfort with proactive sales outreach, including cold calling, networking, and building new business pipelines. Meeting space offerings: 18th Over Austin – 4,131 sq. ft. rooftop venue with panoramic city views. Additional meeting rooms totaling 9,022 sq. ft. Suitable for small corporate events and intimate gatherings. The Austin Convention Center, located two blocks from the hotel, is undergoing a full redevelopment through December 2028; candidates must be prepared to navigate reduced convention-driven business and capitalize on alternative group and in-house opportunities during this transitional period.
