We are seeking a detail-oriented and strategic
FP&A Manager
to join our finance team and support the financial planning, analysis, and reporting functions specific to our
construction operations . This individual will play a key role in budgeting, forecasting, job costing, variance analysis, and strategic decision-making for construction projects. Key Responsibilities: Lead the
annual budgeting
and
quarterly forecasting
processes for construction projects and the overall construction division. Partner with project managers, estimators, and operations teams to develop and maintain accurate project-level forecasts and budgets. Perform detailed
job cost analysis , tracking actuals vs. estimates, identifying variances, and driving cost control measures. Develop and enhance
financial models , dashboards, and reporting tools to improve project visibility and profitability. Provide insightful analysis on project performance, cash flow, margins, and ROI to support strategic decisions. Support monthly and quarterly
financial close
processes by preparing journal entries, accruals, and variance explanations. Coordinate with accounting to ensure proper revenue recognition, cost allocations, and compliance with internal controls. Lead ad hoc analysis and scenario modeling to support bids, capital investment decisions, and contract negotiations. Continuously improve FP&A processes and systems for efficiency, accuracy, and scalability. Present financial insights and recommendations to senior leadership and executive team. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (CPA/MBA preferred). 5+ years of experience in FP&A, with
at least 2+ years in the construction industry
or a related field (e.g., real estate development, infrastructure, engineering). Strong understanding of
construction accounting , WIP reporting, job costing, and project-based financials. Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills; experience with ERP systems (e.g., Sage, Viewpoint, Procore, or similar) preferred. Excellent communication and business partnering skills, especially with non-financial stakeholders. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment. Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with construction-specific software platforms or project management tools. Knowledge of GAAP, cost accounting, and percentage-of-completion revenue recognition. Prior experience in a fast-paced, project-driven environment. Compensation:
