Q Investments, a multi-billion-dollar private investment firm in Fort Worth, TX is seeking a sharp, motivated individual to join its Strategic Planning Group as a Senior Tax Manager. This is a high-profile position with direct access to and interaction with individuals from all divisions of the company including senior management. The Tax Manager will work in an open, team-oriented environment, and will interact with Q's securities transactions teams and private equity teams with the opportunity to advance to becoming a Tax Director of a portfolio company or similar senior role. Job Responsibilities:

Assist Q Family Office head of tax with tax projects related to portfolio companies and internal business entities, such as management companies. Work with the team to develop tax estimates and report estimates to senior managers within the firm. Working with the Q Family Office head of tax, outside CPAs and tax attorneys on tax compliance matters and solving complex tax issues. Working within a team to resolve complex tax compliance issues such as accounting methods changes, complex tax allocations, income sourcing, international tax matters, and similar issues. Assisting in preparation of tax workpapers including taxable income calculations and tax allocations in complex family office structure. Analyzing accounting books and accounting data to identify opportunities to reduce tax and to support tax planning projects Assisting in the preparation of federal tax returns for partnerships, S-Corps, C-Corps, tax exempt organizations, and trusts. Includes preparation of several international information returns. Create processes and procedures to analyze securities trading activity to detect straddles, wash sales, constructive sales, and other securities-based tax issues. Prepare and review realized gain/loss reports, qualified dividend reports, and unrealized gain/loss reports Requirements:

Bachelor's or Master's in Accounting, Taxation or related area w/ excellent academic credentials 5 years or more of Federal Tax Consulting or Federal Tax Compliance experience working for a hedge fund, private equity fund, family office or Big 4/large regional public accounting firm, or as a corporate tax manager.
