AR - Gift and Revenue Specialist – Hybrid - 3 days - Alexandria, VA – Temp to Hire – $40/hr. Our client, a mission-driven nonprofit organization, is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Gift and Revenue Operations Specialist to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity for a professional with strong experience in gift processing, donor stewardship, and financial reconciliation to support a dynamic development and finance team. As a trusted staffing partner, we are managing the recruitment process and will connect qualified candidates directly with the hiring team. Key Responsibilities
Process a variety of donor contributions including stock gifts, matching gifts, in-kind donations, bequests, charitable gift annuities, and donor-advised funds. Manage online giving platforms and payment gateways to ensure smooth donor transactions. Analyze gift documentation to determine appropriate accounting treatment and recognition. Serve as a liaison for donor inquiries, financial institutions, and internal departments regarding gift terms and processing. Oversee membership dues invoicing and collections, including billing schedules, payment plans, and support for both domestic and international members. Generate and interpret financial reports related to revenue and aging accounts receivable. Collaborate with accounting and fundraising teams to ensure data integrity between Salesforce (CRM) and NetSuite (accounting software). Support system enhancement projects by gathering requirements, participating in user acceptance testing (UAT), and ensuring successful implementation. Perform monthly reconciliations of bank activity and accounts receivable to the general ledger. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field. Minimum 3 years of experience in nonprofit gift processing, revenue operations, or financial systems. Proficiency with Salesforce and NetSuite (or similar platforms). Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities. Experience with donor stewardship and nonprofit compliance is a plus.
