This role is within the Global Connectivity Infrastructure Delivery - Fiber Deployment organization, responsible for project management, quality and delivery of fiber capacity for the physical network solutions that drive Amazon’s internal infrastructure and connect our services to the world. Amazon Web Services is looking for a Technical Infrastructure Program Manager to support and deploy one of the world’s largest and most complex telecommunications networks. The role executes a strategic plan to improve business processes and deployment of hyperscaled cloud infrastructure, creates a quality control system for North and South America (NASA), conducts pre/post-inspections for design validation, and pilots stakeholder communication for delivery schedules. This opportunity is within the Global Connectivity Infrastructure Delivery - Fiber Deployment organization, focused on project management, quality and delivery of fiber capacity for AWS internal infrastructure. The Global Infrastructure Fiber Deployment team is the premier cloud infrastructure delivery organization, drawing on telecommunications, civil engineering, fiber characterization and network planning backgrounds. The team constructs and delivers hyperscale networks across the North and South American regions. This role includes travel to field locations and onsite inspections; it is not a full-time remote job. Responsibilities

Report to the NASA GCID-FD Deployment Manager, and provide regular updates to NASA and Global Senior management. Serve as a key member of the North and South America GCID-FD team to drive overall Network Infrastructure strategy. Vendor management to deploy on time, measure progress, and rate through quality KPIs. Develop a focused quality management program that tracks defects, mitigates risks, standardizes root cause analysis, and implements key performance measures to rate vendor success. Create and standardize reporting mechanisms for the MFP&A group and provide regular progress updates to management and stakeholders. Periodically report on the overall network development program status across the assigned region. Manage and track approved network plans with internal customers and stakeholders until the infrastructure is in service. Manage multiple cross-functional projects/programs simultaneously, some on a global scale. Interact with engineers, technicians, vendors, and senior management on a daily basis. Physically audit completed construction work, review fiber test results, and hand off completed delivery to internal customers. Run meetings, create and maintain timelines, and keep large groups informed of progress and obstacles. Anticipate bottlenecks, manage risk and escalations, and balance business needs with technical constraints. Coordinate access and approvals to security-regulated sites. Develop and maintain network maintenance schedules with flexibility and minimal disruption. Provide input to cross-functional teams on fiber delivery, planning, and scheduling from a deployment perspective. Assess field conditions and ground realities to determine optimal deployment methods for smooth customer handoff. Basic Qualifications

3+ years of technical infrastructure management experience Knowledge of best practices and emerging technologies related to infrastructure (network, data center, hardware, software) Experience with varying scenarios of infrastructure builds Preferred Qualifications

The base pay for this position ranges from $114,400/year to $205,500/year, with pay based on factors including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
