Staff Accountant
to join our finance team. This is a great opportunity for someone early in their professional journey to gain hands-on experience and grow within a supportive, innovative, and global organization. In this role, you’ll play an important part in maintaining accurate financial records, assisting with monthly close processes, and supporting day-to-day accounting operations. You’ll also work closely with teams across the company to ensure compliance and contribute to financial reporting that helps drive business decisions. 1. General Accounting Prepare and maintain journal entries, general ledger reconciliations, and balance sheet schedules. Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting principles. Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports for internal and external stakeholders. 2. Accounts Payable & Receivable Assist in managing accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, ensuring timely payments and collections. Backup for reviewing and processing vendor invoices and employee expense reports. 3. Reconciliations & Reporting Perform regular bank reconciliations, intercompany reconciliations, and other general ledger account reconciliations. Prepare ad hoc financial reports and analyses for management as requested. 4. Audit & Compliance Assist in the preparation for internal audits and ensure documentation follows company policies and procedures. Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting standards. 5. Tax Support Assist in the preparation of tax filings, including sales tax, VAT, and other tax-related reporting, as needed. Collaborate with external tax advisors on relevant matters. 6. Process Improvement Contribute to the continuous improvement of accounting processes, systems, and procedures to ensure efficiency and accuracy. 7. Cross-Functional Collaboration Work closely with other departments (e.g., operations, legal, sales, and HR) to support finance-related inquiries and ensure alignment on financial matters. Provide support during budgeting and forecasting processes. 8. Software & Systems Utilize accounting software and ERP systems (e.g., Epicor) for financial transactions and reporting. Stay up-to-date with software tools and technologies to enhance accounting efficiency. 9. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field. Experience: 1-3 years of accounting experience, preferably in a software or technology-based environment. Knowledge: Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and regulatory requirements (e.g., GAAP, IFRS). Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (Epicor experience is a plus). Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present financial data clearly. Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail. Problem Solving: Ability to identify issues and propose solutions in a timely manner. Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment, as well as independently when needed. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in a multinational or global organization. Knowledge of software industry-specific accounting practices. About our company
