SunShare is seeking a Staff Accountant responsible for assisting in managing the General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Account Reconciliations to ensure the accuracy, integrity, and efficiency of the organization's financial records and processes. This includes overseeing the recording of financial transactions, managing the accounts receivable function, and performing regular account reconciliations to identify and resolve any discrepancies. By maintaining a well-organized and up-to-date General Ledger, ensuring timely and accurate account reconciliations, the staff accountant contributes to the company’s financial stability, compliance with accounting standards, and the overall effectiveness of financial operations.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Reconcile bank and credit card statements, prepare and post journal entries, and maintain the accuracy of the general ledger. Perform account reconciliations, analyze variances, and prepare supporting schedules for a timely and accurate close. Process and manage accounts receivable. Create customer invoices, and manage transactions with accuracy and efficiency. Prepare adjusting journal entries, as needed. Respond to auditors’ comments concerning reconciliations and operations and address any deficiencies. Perform additional accounting duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance. 1-3 years of accounting experience, including knowledge of financial reporting, payroll and internal controls. Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial accounting principles. Experience with Sage Intacct Advanced Excel skills; proficiency with Google Suite/Workspace. Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. COMPENSATION & BENEFITS Salary range: $70,000 to $80,000, based on experience, education, and market alignment. Equity participation through SunShare’s stock option plan.
