Recruit Secure is collaborating with a large (200-bed) Assisted Living Community located in the Beacon, NY area that is seeking an experienced
Maintenance and Housekeeping Director
for direct hire. The Director is responsible for supporting and overseeing all aspects of the Assisted Living Home, which includes electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical and operational systems repairs as well as ensuring that the facility is kept clean and sanitary at all times. Additionally, the Director must be knowledgeable in State and Federal codes and regulations for assisted living homes. The successful Maintenance and Housekeeping Director candidate will have previously maintained an Assisted Living facility and supervised staff. This position is part of the leadership team and reports directly to the Administrator. Salary and full benefits package are included. Responsibilities
Oversee maintenance of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical/operational systems. Ensure the facility is kept clean and sanitary at all times. Ensure compliance with State and Federal codes and regulations for assisted living homes. Lead and supervise maintenance staff and work with outside contractors and vendors as needed. Participate as a member of the leadership team and report to the Administrator. Requirements
At least 2 years experience as a Maintenance Director/Facilities Manager Must have
experience in an Assisted Living/Memory care facility Working knowledge of a wide range of physical and operational systems found in Assisted Living Homes (electrical, HVAC, carpentry, plumbing including handling of bio-hazardous waste, ground maintenance, security systems, etc.) Experience managing maintenance personnel as well as working with outside contractors and vendors Knowledge of State and Federal rules and regulations governing Nursing Home operations and maintenance as well as fire codes Experience supporting DOH surveys Excellent communication skills with the ability to talk with Management and interdisciplinary team members
