Job Title: Bilingual Immigration Attorney (Spanish and English) Practice Area: Removal Defense and USCIS Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Bilingual Immigration Attorney proficient in both Spanish and English to join our team specializing in Removal Defense and USCIS matters. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in immigration law, exceptional communication skills, and a passion for advocating on behalf of clients facing removal proceedings and navigating the complexities of the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) process. Responsibilities: Provide comprehensive legal representation to clients facing removal proceedings, including but not limited to asylum claims, cancellation of removal, waivers, and other forms of relief. Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to develop effective case strategies tailored to the individual circumstances of each client. Prepare and file motions, briefs, and other legal documents with immigration courts and USCIS. Represent clients at immigration court hearings, USCIS interviews, and other proceedings. Communicate with clients to explain legal options, provide updates on case progress, and address any concerns or questions. Collaborate with other attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to ensure efficient case management and delivery of high-quality legal services. Stay abreast of changes in immigration law, policies, and procedures to effectively advocate for clients and provide accurate legal advice. Participate in community outreach and education initiatives to raise awareness of immigration issues and resources available to immigrant communities. Maintain accurate and organized case files, records, and billing information in accordance with firm policies and ethical standards. Qualifications: Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school. Admission to the bar in good standing in at least one U.S. state. Minimum of 2-3 years of experience practicing immigration law with a focus on removal defense and USCIS matters. Fluency in both Spanish and English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills in both languages. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Demonstrated commitment to serving immigrant communities and advancing social justice. Proficiency in using legal research tools, case management software, and Microsoft Office Suite. Preferred Qualifications: Experience representing clients in complex removal proceedings, including cases involving criminal issues, domestic violence, and trafficking. Prior experience working with vulnerable populations, such as unaccompanied minors, asylum seekers, and victims of persecution. Additional language proficiency beyond Spanish and English, particularly in languages commonly spoken by immigrant communities.
