As a growing nonprofit, we have benefited from volunteers in our network offering professional skills in marketing, event planning, legal assistance and more. Like to cook? You can prepare a meal at home with your family or friends to deliver to a host congregation. If you’d like to meet our families, we invite volunteers to stay for dinner and share the evening with our guests and their children. When our live-in Shelter Manager is on vacation, we need an adult to spend the night in the building to be a resource and comforting presence for our resident families. Occasional 55+, Adults Individuals Formal Evenings On the weekends, adult volunteers answer the phone, do activities with children, and are a welcoming presence for our guests. During the week, we often seek assistance in the office with mailings, covering the phones, or administrative projects. Teens are welcome with an adult over 18. One-time, Occasional, Monthly Teens, Adults, Child with Adult Individuals, Groups (2-10), Families How you help We couldn’t live without our volunteers or donors. Each of our programs are structured and operational from the core of our volunteers and donors! About us We serve low- and moderate-income families with at least one child under the age of 18 who are homeless or at risk of homelessness. Our families are Massachusetts residents, with priority given to families from the Metrowest region. We welcome all genders and family compositions.
