MetroWest Free Medical Program serves as an entry point to the health care system for those who are uninsured or insufficiently insured by meeting patients’ immediate healthcare needs and connecting them to other health resources.
Non-Clinical Volunteers
We are looking for volunteers to assist in the clinics with greeting, registering patients, setting up the clinic, and setting up charts. Experience with athenaNet is preferred. 55+, Adults Individuals On-site, Formal Licensed Medical Providers for Clinical Visits
We need physicians (especially internists), nurse practitioners, and nurses for our evening General Adult Medicine and Women’s Health clinics. General Adult Medicine meets on Tuesday evenings, and Women’s Health meets on Thursday evenings. We are currently following the same COVID-19 protocols you will find in other medical settings. 21+, 55+ Individuals Remote Volunteers
We also seek remote volunteers who can help with preparing articles for newsletters and our website, as well as supporting fundraising through tasks such as arranging events and thanking donors. 55+, Adults Individuals How You Help
Our volunteers provide direct patient care in the areas of adult medicine, women’s health, and vision. Volunteers also help with medical charts and administration of our clinics. About Us
Founded in 2005, the MetroWest Free Medical Program offers general and specialty care during evening clinics. In over 16 years of operation, the Clinic’s part-time staff and 250+ volunteers, including Spanish and Portuguese interpreters, have provided care to over 10,000 patients. MetroWest Free Medical Program is proud to have attained the National Association of Free & Charitable Clinics 2020 Standards Gold Rating.
