Overview The Associate Executive Director (AED) supports the Executive Director in leading the overall operations of the YMCA branch, including program development and delivery, staff supervision, community engagement, fundraising, and financial performance. The AED ensures high-quality member and participant experiences and promotes the YMCA’s mission, values, and strategic goals.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in nonprofit management, business administration, recreation, or a related field.

Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in YMCA operations or a similar nonprofit leadership role.

Proven experience in managing people, programs, and budgets.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Commitment to the mission and values of the YMCA

Proven ability to build genuine relationships

Capability to establish partnerships with community organizations.

Must be able to recognize and respond quickly and effectively to emergency situations to ensure the safety and well-being of all participants and staff.

YMCA Multi-Team or Branch Leader certification preferred.
