Requirements / Qualifications The Tennis Girls Assistant Coach position is available at American Canyon High School. Candidates should have experience in tennis, coaching, and working with high school student-athletes. Required certifications include First Aid/CPR, NFHS Fundamentals of Coaching, Sudden Cardiac Arrest, Concussion in Sports, and Heat and Illness Prevention, along with all other Napa Valley Unified School District HR requirements. The season runs from August to November, with some off-season activities. The assistant coach will receive a booster stipend at season's end. Candidates must be willing to work with staff, student-athletes, parents, administration, and the ACHS Athletic Booster Club. Basic knowledge in sportsmanship, physical capacities of adolescents, coaching principles, adolescent psychology, nutrition, risk management, and sport rules is essential.
