As a Warranty Clerk at our dealership, you will be responsible for managing warranty claims and reimbursements from automotive manufacturers for service and repair work performed on vehicles under warranty. You will play a critical role in ensuring that warranty claims are processed accurately and efficiently, maximizing reimbursement for dealership services and minimizing potential losses. Your attention to detail and knowledge of warranty policies and procedures will contribute to the overall profitability and customer satisfaction of our dealership.
Responsibilities:
Warranty Claims Processing: Review service repair orders and documentation to identify warranty-eligible repairs and parts replacements covered by automotive manufacturers. Prepare and submit warranty claims to manufacturers, ensuring that all required information, documentation, and supporting evidence are included and accurate. Monitor the status of warranty claims, follow up with manufacturers as needed to expedite processing, and resolve any issues or discrepancies that may arise.
Warranty Parts Returns: Coordinate the return of warranty parts and components to manufacturers in accordance with their return policies and procedures. Ensure that warranty parts are properly documented, packaged, and shipped to manufacturers for inspection and reimbursement. Maintain accurate records of warranty parts returns, including tracking numbers, shipping dates, and reimbursement amounts.
Warranty Reimbursement and Recovery: Verify reimbursement amounts received from manufacturers for approved warranty claims, comparing them to dealership records and expectations. Reconcile warranty receivables with manufacturer payments, identifying any discrepancies or discrepancies and taking appropriate corrective action. Investigate and resolve any issues or disputes related to warranty claims or reimbursement amounts with manufacturers or third-party administrators.
