About the Job:

The

Operations Representative

is responsible for managing day-to-day shipment execution while serving as the frontline contact for Odyssey's brokerage customers. You'll track and monitor loads, coordinate with carriers and internal teams, and provide proactive communication to resolve service issues. This role balances operational efficiency with customer service excellence, playing a vital part in maintaining customer satisfaction and account success.

In This Role, You Will:

Shipment Execution & Monitoring Manage daily execution of customer shipments, including rating, routing, booking, and tendering. Track and trace shipments, ensuring visibility and timely updates in the TMS. Verify shipment documentation (BOL, POD, accessorials) for accuracy and timely upload. Escalate uncovered or at-risk loads to Carrier Sales within 12 hours of pickup. Customer Communication & Service

Serve as the primary point of contact for shipment-level updates. Proactively notify customers of delays, exceptions, and resolution plans. Respond quickly to customer inquiries to ensure a positive service experience. Support Account Managers with execution of SOPs and SLAs. Issue Resolution & Escalation

Coordinate recovery of delayed, fallen-off, or service-failed shipments. Escalate incidents within 15 minutes of identification and manage follow-ups until resolved. Partner with internal teams to execute corrective action plans. Accuracy, Compliance & Reporting

Maintain accurate shipment records in the TMS. Validate rating, contracts, and routing guides for compliance. Provide shipment summaries or reporting as needed. Support claims and billing discrepancy resolution within SLAs. Qualifications:

Requirements:

1-3 years of experience in logistics, freight brokerage, or transportation operations (preferred). Strong communication skills with a customer-first approach. Proficiency with TMS platforms and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word). Knowledge of LTL, truckload, and multimodal freight (preferred). Strong organizational skills and ability to handle competing priorities. Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience). Desired Competencies:
